A dream put into action.

On January 8, 2024, I sat on my bathroom floor scrolling through used-RV websites feeling desperate to fantasize about a life away from my 12-year career as an attorney. A happenchance text to my husband about yet another morning procrastinating going into the office began to morph into an actual discussion about a year-long trip in an RV with him, our three kids under five years old, and our puppy.

A few hours later, the discussion became a plan to actually do it. Two law partners quitting our jobs, selling our dream “forever” home and most of our possessions, and setting off on an epic family adventure determined to find a little clarity and a lot of joy in the process.

There is only one small issue: neither my husband nor I have spent so much as a weekend in an RV, let alone drive one cross-country with our offspring therein. What could possibly go wrong?

This site is a real-time chronicling of our journey down this road as we figure out life (and hopefully RVing) along the way.
